| The Orrell Scanned Database contains
over 4,200 scanned images and documents on this website in various
categories: birth, death, marriage, land, military, obituaries,
newspaper ads, photos, census, administration letters, bible records,
bills of sale, baptism, bonds, cemetery, internment, marriage bonds,
passenger lists, patents, petitions, tax lists, wedding invitations,
writ of dower, etc. The Orrell Scanned Database is in a
Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. The first column contains a
hyperlink which, when clicked, will open up the document directly from
the website. If a record contains information on more than one
person, each person is listed in the spreadsheet. One image on
the website, might related to ten different people. Therefore,
the spreadsheet contains close to 8,000 rows of information.
A person is listed by their full name, maiden &
married names, nickname, and alternate surname spelling. We also
list the date of the record, the place of the record, the type of
record, and the person's RIN number from the master Orrell PAF
database. Notes including parent's name and other information
are attached to each listing. With a limited knowledge of how to
sort within an Excel spreadsheet, you can instantly sort and look at
all the records for any individual. Or you could look at all the
available images from the 1930 census.
The Orrell Scanned Database spreadsheet is
available for $30. I'll also includes every scanned image
(over 4,200) on the CD and will also put the
Excel Viewer, Word Viewer, and PowerPoint viewer on the disc.
